As you may be aware, the future of the Bear and Billet is not certain at present. We do have an exit strategy in place if we do have to relocate in the short (or longer) term. However, we are holding off any major guest booking decisions until we have a bit more idea as to what is happening to the pub. Please bear with us on this we want to get it right.
From January we have made the decision to start charging a small entry fee of £2 on singers nights. This is instead of raising funds through a weekly raffle. Funds raised on singers nights help to subsidise ticket prices for guest nights, which we try to keep at or below £10, as well as covering essential expenditure such as replaceing equipment and insurance. Charging a small entry fee represents a fairer way to raise these funds. Many thanks as always for your continuing support.
