Midnight Fyre dropped in.
The lovely duo Midnight Fyre (Ashleigh and Gareth) called in to play at the Raven Singers night on the 18th January. They are living on a boat, overwintering in Chester, whilst they work at the Zoo. They will be going down to Birmingham for the summer working in local drama productions. They are releasing their first album shortly, with the launch event at their wedding. We are looking forward to welcoming them back to the Raven when they come back later in the year.

From adversity came creativity
In March 2020, when the world went into lockdown due to the pandemic, The Raven Folk Club, which had run uninterrupted for almost 42 years was forced to close. Like many other live music events, the organisers of the Raven decided to continue to make music online via a weekly hour long folk music video show that went out every Sunday, to the world. And boy did the world watch. We had people across the UK and in South America, North America, Asia, Europe and Australia and New Zealand tuning in regularly to watch talented contributors of videos. The Raven Online ran for 68 shows. Below are three selected shows, the very first one and the last one and a random one from somewhere in the middle. If you would like to watch any of the other shows, we have provided a link to the Youtube channel where you can pick which ever you like. We hope you enjoy looking back at the music that got us through tough times. A big thank you to all of you who sent the videos in from around the world.
